Ponytail holders and a mini coin purse

My daughter was going to a birthday party this weekend, so it was an opportunity to try out new ideas. I've been mulling over a more multi functional design for a coin purse...so here's a double zippered one. It was tricky figuring out all the linings and how to stream line the entire process.
I have this habit of hoarding fabric scraps, so inspired by others, I made a few ponytail holders using covered button sets. I'm still figuring out how to center them better, but the hedgehog and mushrooms came out so cute!

It's rather addictive! Here are a few of my favorites...

can you find the button things at a fabric store or is it something special or expensive that you have to buy?

I love covered buttons! I have a hard time centering also, trying to see through the bottom of the white plastic thingy. The fabric never goes down perfectly straight, does it, but it looks like you're getting the hang of it. They are so cute!

Your buttons are gorgeous. Its a great way of using up those teeny scraps. By the way, I don't think it matters that they're not perfectly centered.
