Apron and recipe swap

Several bloggers decided to organize an apron and recipe swap last June and I happily joined it (my first time). Yesterday I received my wonderful package from Caitlyn! A bright print to make the mundane kitchen tasks fun (it has an adjustable neck ties and pockets) and two new recipes to try (banana bread and zucchini pasta...yummy) . She also include a couple skeins of Cascade 220 (which I've never tried before) in a lovely coral/salmon shade. Thanks so much for the lovely gifts!

For my recipient (the same Caitlyn!), a breezy apron in a Denyse Schmidt print with a single pocket (I tried so hard to match it while keeping it in a usable position). Originally I wanted to have a side casing for the neck and waist strap like the one pictured below, but it's tricky to hang on a hook (the ties tend to pull out). So I decided to use multiple button holes and a button for adjutability. Sorry for the lack of a full shot...completely forgot!

Swapping is fun!

What a beautiful gift to receive, and a very nice one that you sent out! That DS fabric sure is beautiful. I've only done a few swaps with blog friends - never anything official...maybe one day I'll get the guts up. :o)
