Cleaning out my mending basket

Before leaving on trips, I like to clean the whole house. This time, I had an urge to clear out my mending basket before heading to Palm Springs.

* Hemming jeans, the constant chore for us short folks.
* Adding elastic loops to sleeve cuffs. These 3/4 sleeves were a bit too tight (and unbottoning them made them too flappy). A similar idea to turning regular pants to maternity ones with a rubberband.* Fixing folding camp chairs. The pockets completely ripped out at the side seams, which happens to the $4 ones.* Closing up lumbar roll pillows. The rolled up foam kept vomiting out at the sides -- I have no idea why I didn't do this earlier.Have a good weekend :)

That's so funny-I do the same thing when I have to travel. I don't go away very often but when I do there is a frenzy of accomplishing little jobs!

We call it cleaning for the burglars! Really though I like to come home to a clean house.
