I finally broke down and bought a teflon foot

Generally, I'm a practical shopper. I won't buy something unless I've mulled over it endlessly or I absolutely need it. Note this does not apply to fabric, though I've been a good girl for the past 2 months.

I add a vinyl windowin most of my wallets, but have resisted buying a teflon foot, choosing to adapt by using a longer stitch length (or tissue paper for longer sewing distances). It was more of a hassle to change the feet all the time (this the reason why I stopped using a zipper foot...totally unnecessary).

But then I agreed to make a custom laptop bag out of vinyl. Figuring that using tissue paper would be a nightmare, I bought a teflon foot from this great Ebay seller (quick communication, great service, and fast and reasonable shipping).

Normally, I'm not a big fan of vinyl, but this one doesn't scream "I'm a tablecloth". It has a rich color and pebbled embossed finish.
The interior is a Joel Dewberry (I just found out his mom is Donna Dewberry, famous for her one stroke painting technique!) cotton from his Aviary line. Absolutely yummy!
Have a great weekend!
