Easter Egg Bags
I finally finished my taxes (and now I know exactly know how much I spent on fabric...) so I can focus on regular blogging again!
During this Easter, I wanted to upgrade the girls easter bags (simple, unlined canvas totes with appliques of floral eggs). I had this crazy idea of making egg shaped (can you tell?) washable bags that would stand alone. To make the construction easier, I made the side panels and bottom one continuous piece -- but it was still tricky sewing all the curves. I ended up using lavender pre-fab padded straps I found thrifting.
They came out bigger than expected -- probably enough room for 75 eggs! I kinda like the vertical hobo-ish shaping and I'm thinking of a similar version for my spring bag.
